Quickstart
Go from an idea to an app running on your glasses.
Before you start
- The MIRA app on your iPhone, with your glasses connected.
- Claude on claude.com, Codex, or Claude Code. On claude.com, use a chat that can run code and create files.
Build your first app
-
Open the app builder
In the MIRA app, tap Apps. Scroll to Build a Mira App and tap Create.
-
Copy the guide
Tap Instructions for making apps, then Copy full guide. To send it as a file instead, tap Share full guide.
The guide holds everything your assistant needs: the SDK sources, the API reference, a working example and a validator.
-
Describe your app
Start a new chat in Claude, Codex or Claude Code. Paste the guide, then describe what you want. Be specific about what appears on the glasses, what each tap or swipe does, and what the phone screen shows.
Example promptBuild a MIRA app with this guide. On the glasses: a countdown timer in large text. Tap to start or pause. Swipe to add or remove one minute. At zero, show "Done". On the phone: the time left, plus buttons for 5, 10 and 25 minutes.Your assistant compiles the app, runs the validator and gives you one
.htmlfile. The first build can take longer while it sets up the compiler. -
Add it to MIRA
Back on Create a Mira app, tap Upload and choose the HTML file, or copy the file’s contents and tap Paste. The title fills in from the file; leave it as is. Pick an icon for the app’s card on your phone.
Tap Check code. When you see Package checks passed, tap Add.
-
Install and open
Your app appears under Your Apps. With your glasses connected, tap Install. MIRA sends the app to your glasses and opens it, along with its phone screen if it has one. The button then reads Close.
On the glasses, double tap to open the sidebar. From there you can switch apps or go back Home.
Make changes
Ask for changes in the same chat. Your assistant keeps the source, updates it and builds a new file.
To install the new version, long-press your app’s card in Your Apps and tap Edit App. Tap Upload, choose the new file and tap Save. Then tap Update, which installs it and returns the glasses to Home, and tap Open.
